บทคัดย่อ

การวิจัยเรื่อง การใช้และความต้องการใช้ฐานข้อมูลเอกสารฉบับเต็มในรูปอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ (Thai Digital Collection : TDC) ของนักศึกษาบัณฑิตศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา รูปแบบ วิธีการ ลักษณะการใช้ และความต้องการใช้ ในด้านการเรียน การศึกษา ค้นคว้า ด้านรูปแบบ ด้านความสะดวกในการค้นหาข้อมูล และด้านเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์และเครือข่ายเพื่อการใช้ฐานข้อมูลเอกสารฉบับเต็มในรูปอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ของนักศึกษาบัณฑิตศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่กลุ่มตัวอย่างในการวิจัย คือ นักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท และระดับปริญญาเอก มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงใหม่ ที่คงสภาพการเป็นนักศึกษา ตั้งแต่ปีการศึกษา 2554-2559 จำนวน 71 คน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการวิจัยครั้งนี้ ได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูล โดยการหาค่าร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย และส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักศึกษาบัณฑิตศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เป็นเพศหญิง มีอายุน้อยกว่า 30 ปี เป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาโท และส่วนใหญ่สังกัดสาขาวิชาหลักสูตรและการสอน มีวัตถุประสงค์การใช้ เพื่อทำวิจัย/วิทยานิพนธ์ สาเหตุที่ใช้สามารถสืบค้นได้ทุกสถานที่ และตลอดเวลาที่ต้องการ มีการเข้าใช้จากที่บ้านผ่านระบบเข้าถึงทางไกล โดยใช้วิธีการสืบค้นโดยใช้คำสำคัญ/อย่างง่าย มีความถี่ในการใช้ไม่แน่นอน และมีระยะเวลาที่ใช้แต่ละครั้ง 1-3 ชั่วโมง ในช่วงเวลา 16.00-24.00 น. ผลการสืบค้นได้รับเนื้อหาข้อมูลครบถ้วนถูกต้อง มีการเรียนรู้การใช้ด้วยตนเอง โดยทราบข่าวแหล่งการให้บริการจากจากเพื่อน/ผู้ร่วมงานแนะนำ เข้าถึงจากแหล่งบริการของสำนักหอสมุด โดยใช้คอมพิวเตอร์พกพา (Note book) และอ่านข้อมูลจากหน้าจอคอมพิวเตอร์ทันที มีการจัดเก็บข้อมูลด้วยการ Print การนำข้อมูลออกทางกระดาษ ปัญหาที่พบมากที่สุดคือระบบเครือข่ายที่เข้าใช้มีการแสดงผลข้อมูลล่าช้า ต้องใช้เวลาในการรอ ความต้องการใช้ด้านการเรียน การศึกษา ค้นคว้า พบว่า ฐานข้อมูลเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการค้นคว้าวิจัย/วิทยานิพนธ์/งานของท่าน มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ด้านรูปแบบฐานข้อมูลเอกสารฉบับเต็มในรูปอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ พบว่า ต้องการรูปแบบฐานข้อมูลออนไลน์ มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด ด้านความสะดวกในการค้นหาข้อมูล พบว่า สามารถสืบค้นข้อมูลโดยสืบค้นจากคอมพิวเตอร์ทั้งในและนอกมหาวิทยาลัย มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุด และด้านเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ และเครือข่ายเพื่อการใช้ พบว่า นักศึกษาบัณฑิตศึกษาต้องการเพิ่มจำนวนคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ในการสืบค้นฐานข้อมูลในภาควิชา/คณะ มีค่าเฉลี่ยอยู่ในระดับมากที่สุดผลการวิจัยชี้ให้เห็นถึงความจำเป็นของสำนักหอสมุด ให้มีการประชาสัมพันธ์และฝึกอบรมการใช้ฐานข้อมูลเอกสารฉบับเต็มในรูปอิเล็กทรอนิกส์อย่างสม่ำเสมอ และควรเพิ่มขีดความสามารถด้านความเร็วของระบบเครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์ให้มีความเร็วสูงเพื่อช่วยให้การประมวลผลได้เร็วขึ้น และเพิ่มจำนวนคอมพิวเตอร์ในภาควิชา/คณะ ให้เพียงพอต่อความต้องการ รวมถึงเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้ในการสืบค้นฐานข้อมูลให้สามารถตอบสนองความต้องการใช้งานของผู้ใช้

Abstract

Thai Digital Collection Use and Demand of Graduate Students in Thai Digital Collection (TDC) in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University. The research purpose to study the patterns, methods, characteristics and uses in education, research, pattern, user friendly for information searching and computer and network for use the Thai Digital Collection (TDC) of graduate students Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.Representative sample was 71 graduate and doctoral degree students in Chiang Mai Rajabhat University whose studied in 2011-2016. The research instruments used in this study were questionnaire, data analysis by the percentage, mean and standard deviation.The research found that most graduate students are female. They are less than 30 years old and most of them are under the curriculum and teaching. The purpose is to use to do research and thesis. The reasons for usage the database because easy access from anywhere and anytime. They able to access from home through remote access. They use keyword for searching and by simple word. The frequency of use is uncertain and use around 1-3 hours per one time.During the period of 16.00-24.00 hrs., The results of the search were completely accurate. They had learned by themselves and acknowledge the service from friend and co-worker by their own laptop and read the information immediately. They storage the document by print out the paper. The most common problem is that the access network has data access delayed and it usually takes time to wait.Requirement for study, learning and research found that the database is beneficial to their research, thesis and work. The average is at the highest level. The full text document database found that requirement for an online database format. The average is at the highest level.The ease of finding information can be found by searching on both internal and external campus. The average is at the highest level. For computer and network issues were found that the graduate students wanted more computers for searching database in their own department and faculty had the highest level.The results indicate the necessity of the main library, they request regularly promote and train the use of Thai Digital Collection (TDC) and should develop network speed up to get the faster access and increase the number of computers in the department and faculty clients. Evermore, It also increases the efficiency of the computer used to query the database to meet the needs of users.
